Set up and use the iCSee WiFi/4G smart camera, including app install, battery switch, WiFi, Bluetooth and 4G connection, and alarm features.
This guide explains how to set up and use the iCSee WiFi/4G smart camera, from downloading the app through everyday alarm and tracking features.
There may be differences between the pictures and the actual product. Please refer to the actual product.
1. Download and Install the App
- Method One: Use any "Scan" program to scan the QR code in the app listing to download the iCSee app.
- Method Two:
- iOS: Search iCSee in the App Store and install it.
- Android: Search iCSee in the app market and install it.
Note for Android: Please choose Regular Download. Do not choose Safe Download or High-Speed Download.
2. Register a New Account and Log In
Sign up
Open the iCSee app, tap Sign Up, and create a new account with your phone number or email.
Log in
After registering successfully, enter the username/email and password you just registered to log in.
Or use another login
You can also use WeChat, Facebook, Line, or Visitor Login to log in.
3. Battery Camera Switch Operation
- Please know clearly the interface and buttons of the camera before using.
- Before pairing, turn on the power button of the device. Once you hear the camera say "Start quick setup", the wake-up is successful and you can proceed to the next step.
Power switch location (TQ2 / TQ3 / TQ5)
The power switch button is next to the solar charging port (Type-C 5V charging port) on the base of the camera.

Connect the optional solar energy panel to the solar panel interface on the camera.
4. WiFi Camera Connection
The WiFi camera can be added over WiFi or over Bluetooth.
Please power on the camera first before the configuration. Only 2.4 GHz WiFi is supported (5 GHz is not supported).
4.1 Method One: WiFi Connection
Connect your phone to WiFi
The paired mobile phone must be connected to your router WiFi network (only 2.4 GHz is supported).
Add the WiFi camera
Tap the + sign in the upper-right corner of the main app screen, choose WiFi Camera, and follow the device voice prompt, then tap Next.
Choose your WiFi
On the Router Setting screen, choose your WiFi router and enter the password, then tap Confirm to open the "Scan Code Pairing" instructions.
Scan the code and set a password
After scanning the code, set the password according to the prompt, then proceed to the next step.
Finish pairing
After pairing, the newly added camera will be shown in the list when connected successfully. Tap it to view, operate, and make settings.
4.2 Method Two: Bluetooth Connection
- Please power on the camera first before the configuration.
- To use the Bluetooth distribution mode, turn on the phone's Bluetooth mode switch first, then pair and connect.
Bluetooth pairing mode is only supported for gun-ball integrated cameras.
Connect your phone to WiFi
The paired mobile phone must be connected to your router WiFi network (only 2.4 GHz is supported).
Search for the device
Tap the + sign in the upper-right corner of the app home screen to enter the automatic device search screen. When using the current device, tap Confirm to proceed to the next step and set the router password.
Choose your WiFi
On the Router Setting screen, choose the WiFi router and enter the password, then tap Confirm to open the "Scan Code Pairing" instructions.
Scan the code and set a password
After scanning the code, set the password according to the prompt, then proceed to the next step.
Finish pairing
After pairing, the newly added camera will be shown in the list when connected successfully. Tap it to view, operate, and make settings.
5. How to Install a 4G Traffic Card
This plug-in tutorial is only for 4G cameras that require a plug; there is no need to operate the built-in traffic card.
Insert the SIM card and power on
When pairing for the first time, insert the prepared SIM card into the device and power it on. Insert the SIM card as shown above, then wait for the device to prompt "Network Connected Successfully".
If it fails to connect
If it fails to prompt "Network Connected Successfully", restore the factory settings or check whether there is a problem with the SIM card.
Kind reminder: If the inserted cellular traffic card cannot be used, please contact the purchasing dealer to determine the frequency band of the device's use.
6. 4G Camera Network Connection
Install the app
Download and install the app first, log in to the app, and make sure the mobile phone network is normal.
Add the 4G camera
Tap the + in the upper-right corner of the app main interface, choose 4G Camera, and follow the camera voice prompts to scan the label on the 4G camera QR code, then continue to Add device.
Set a password
After the configuration is successful, fill in the password, confirm and save, then go to the next step.
Name the device
Enter the Device Name and follow the prompt to complete the connection process.
Finish pairing
After pairing, the newly added camera will be shown in the list when connected successfully.
Preview the camera
Preview the camera. It may prompt you to purchase traffic, then you can operate the other steps.
7. Guide: Purchase 4G Data
Open the data purchase screen
When the device prompts "Network connecting successfully", the configuration is finished and you can buy 4G data. Please follow the guide.
Choose a package
Open the Data Purchase interface, choose the corresponding package, and tap to purchase.
View your traffic
After a successful purchase, the app automatically jumps to the traffic query page.
If the purchase interface does not appear, tap Traffic in the device list to buy data.
8. Set Up Mobile Tracking
- Tap the Mobile Tracking switch button in the preview interface to turn on the function.
- Motion tracking: When it is on, as long as an object enters the camera's illumination range, the camera will track the moving trajectory.
- Watch Point: Set a fixed position so that when the camera is operating or tracking, it automatically returns to the set position after staying away for a period of time.
Mobile tracking and smart humanoid alert cannot be used at the same time.
9. Set Up Dual-Light Perimeter Alarm
Open the iCSee app, tap Real-time Playback, then tap the Light Alarm or Bulb icon on the screen to open the alarm mode settings.
- Starlight Full-color: When the light is insufficient, the white light turns on and the image becomes colorful.
- Infrared Night Vision: When the light is insufficient, the infrared light is activated and the image becomes black and white.
- Dual-light Alert: When the light is insufficient, the infrared light is activated. When someone enters the monitoring screen, the white light is triggered and the image becomes colorful. After a few seconds, when the person walks away, infrared mode is switched on again and the image becomes black and white.
10. Set the Humanoid Warning Alarm Function
Mobile tracking and intelligent humanoid alert cannot be enabled simultaneously.
Open the iCSee app, tap the device real-time playback, then tap the Setting button in the upper-right corner. Go to Settings → Smart Alarm and configure the related settings.
Function introduction:
- Notification: Must be turned on to receive alarm trigger information.
- Humanoid detection: Only judges and detects people to trigger an alarm.
- Show Tracking: When a human figure appears on the screen, the figure can be tracked and reminded.
- Rule setting: Select the designated area (Warning Line). When someone enters the divided area, the alarm can be triggered.
FCC Warning
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
- This device may not cause harmful interference, and
- This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
To maintain compliance with FCC's RF Exposure guidelines, this equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum 20 cm distance between the radiator and your body. Use only the supplied antenna.
