Warm Tips Before You Go

Read these points before using the camera.

  1. The camera only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. If your router is dual-band, please turn off the 5G band.
  2. The camera uses a power supply and MUST stay connected to power the whole time it is working.
  3. Do not connect too many devices to the router.
  4. The camera and phone should connect to the same router Wi-Fi during setup.
  5. The Wi-Fi password and the Wi-Fi SSID of the router should not contain special characters (such as @#$%"*).
  6. The phone, camera and router should be within about 1.5 m (5 feet) during connection. After connecting, the camera can be moved anywhere within Wi-Fi range.
  7. Video fluency depends on network quality — refresh the video if needed. When the video lags or the camera loses connection, please try to connect again.
  8. This guide is written for iOS devices. The steps on Android devices are roughly the same.
  9. Software and hardware updates will not be notified separately.
  10. You may need a Wi-Fi extender if your Wi-Fi signal is weak around the yard where you want to install it.

8. FAQ

What if my device can't connect to the router?

  1. Make sure the Wi-Fi network is working (test by connecting your phone to it).
  2. Make sure the Wi-Fi password is entered correctly.
  3. Make sure the router's Wi-Fi password and SSID don't contain special characters (such as @#$%"*).
  4. Keep the device, router and phone close together (within 1.5 m / 5 feet).
  5. Check the router configuration — the camera does not support 5G Wi-Fi, so a dual-band router needs the 5G band turned off.
  6. Try again with a different Android or iOS phone.
  7. Reset the camera.
  8. Contact customer support at [email protected]; we will reply within 24 hours.

How can I recover the camera password?

If you forget the password, you must reset the camera to factory default settings and set it up again.

How do I reset the camera to factory default settings?

If the camera is online, you can find the reset option in the phone app or PC software. If the camera is offline, press and hold the reset button on the camera's connection line for 15–20 seconds.

Can adverts in the app be turned off?

Yes — go to Me → Tools → Ad.

What if I can't find the video file in playback?

  • Check the TF card: confirm its status in the disk information, replace it with a new card to test, and make sure it is not larger than 256 GB.
